Fruity Math Problems
Fruity Math Problems is a fun and interactive resource scaffolded to address the needs of special education students. The resource is not grade specific, but rather abilities specific and geared towards a moderate to severe environment. There are three levels of difficulty in the task cards. The first set of cards is worded in a very basic way and has pictures to accompany the math problem. The second set of cards has images to help but contains more complex wording. Word Sort Activity
This activity is a way for students to play with words and group them according to the word endings. Have students cut out the words and paste them in the column that matches the word endings. This worksheet can be used for a one time project or laminated with velcro to use over again.

Experience
I am a moderate to severe special education teacher in California.
Teaching style
I use manipulatives for my students and I use visuals alongside text to give alternative access to students. I am passionate about using varying tools to give students an opportunity to learn in a way that is most effective for them. I usually find that pictures and tangibles are the best way for my students to learn.
My own education history
I have a bachelor's in biology from Whittier College and a master's in special education with an emphasis on moderate to severe disabilities.
