I have been teaching for 12 years with experience at all elementary grade levels with the past 5 years as a district math instructional coach for the largest school district in NC. I've presented many state and local workshops and conducted district professional development for k-5 teachers in the area of mathematics.
Now I am a curriculum coordinator and instructional resource for k-5 grades working to support all areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. I've developed many research based tools for learning and teaching and currently write assessments and curriculum for math based around the Common Core State Standards. 4th Grade Math Common Core I Have/Who Has Games
These 2 games were created for students to use in a small group setting and is centered around reinforcing 2 concepts in the 4th Grade Common Core for Mathematics: 1) measurement conversions and 2) geometry. Once downloaded, just print multiple copies of the game decks for students to use in small groups. You'll see how excited your 4th grade students will be even when they are learning in a cooperative group. This game will keep everyone accountable for learning!

Teaching style
My teaching style is hands-on, inquiry based techniques that are authentic and purposefully planned learning opportunities which are relevant to students knowledge and background. I believe all students should have the opportunity to access knowledge through rigorous instructional strategies that are scaffold which include the use of visible thinking and writing across the curriculum through integrated learning opportunities.
