Experience

I am a middle school teacher with 7 years of experience with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Although I teach primarily ELA, I also have experience with SS and more general Humanities content. I love middle schoolers, and helping them grow during the turbulent middle school years is incredibly rewarding.

Teaching style

I believe that high expectations with adequate support is the best way to truly help students succeed. I would call myself a "no-nonsense nurturer" because I hold students accountable for their actions while helping them learn and grow into the versions of themselves that they can be proud of.

My own education history

I have a BA in English, an MA in English for ELA Teachers, and my teaching license.

Additional biographical information

I love reading, my cat, and helping other teachers!
