This adapted pack uses differentiated materials to introduce measuring length with non-standard measurement tools. This adapted pack introduces students to greater than and less than using fun and engaging visuals and many opportunities for practice. Starting out with an adapted book is my favorite way to help students get a feel for a new concept. Reading guides that can be spread out over a few days help students stay engaged and understand the concepts better. I used the math mats during small groups to facilitate conversation greater than/less than problem solving and allow for trial and error. Finally
