DIY X-Rays & Skeletal System Matching Activity

Create your own x-rays with these worksheets. This activity may take a little back end work, but it's so fun and worth it! You'll need to glue the blank white grid worksheet on top of the black grid with the bones. Then you individually cut out the squares (lamination is recommended). Hold each square up to a light to reveal the bone! I used small LED puck lights (like this: https://amzn.to/4mWiGjb) and passed these out to use individually or in small groups. You can also use light boxes if you

Emergency Info Worksheet

I created this worksheet to use with my High School Life Skills class when I teach them about emergencies and 911. My goal was to help them have a place for key information (their name, address, key numbers) that they could keep at home. There is an English and Spanish version. For my students that have trouble writing their main information (name and address), I used this website to cut and paste their names and addresses onto the worksheets so that they could just trace the information: https

PVC Adapted Baseball Batting Structure

This is a how-to guide for building a PVC batting structure. This structure utilizes a pull handle that releases that bat so that students who may have difficulty grasping/swinging a bat can still perform a batting swing.

PVC Catapult Structure (Frame Only)

This is a how-to guide for building a PVC catapult structure. Please note this is for the frame only and does not include directions for adding a release mechanism, as this may vary based on your students' needs. If you are looking for instructions on this, please check back soon for a part 2!

Health Respiratory System Activity

This is an activity I do with my HS Life Skills class during our Body Systems Unit, specifically the Respiratory System. Using minimal materials you can create a fun hands on experience to show students how our lungs expand and contract. For my students in Special Ed., I typically laminate and then pre-cut a lot of the pieces. This may require some adult assistance depending on your students' ability levels. But the end result is a fun project they can take home and share with their family! To s

Inside Out Mood Meter

I used this activity with my HS Life Skills students in Adapted Health while in our SEL unit. This was a fun activity that provided students with a way to identify their emotions when they were done that they could use every day if needed. Students will color in the emotions and then create a meter where they can slide their picture up and down to identify how they are currently feeling. There is some back end work on the adult's part but we really enjoyed how these turned out!

Coloring Muscle Worksheet

I created this to use with my High School Life Skills students for Adapted Health while we were learning about the muscular system. My students had a difficult time coloring in the correct muscle without adult supervision, so I tried to offset some of that help by outlining the muscle in the color they are supposed to use. I also only offer one color at a time. I typically print this front and back.
