This web quest will lead students to several different websites to gather answers and information related to world geography. Students must define geography, human geography, & physical geography; take a quiz on the continents & oceans; determine why it is difficult to give an exact number of countries in the world; explain what is interesting about the earth's circumference; and answer several basic questions related to the world's current population, land sizes, landforms, climate, & economy.
Help your students practice their numbers 1-20 in a fun way! Create caterpillar bodies, leafy trees, and rain clouds. Students could use crayons or markers, but I suggest using some paint with either q-tips or their finger tips.

This works well as a whole lesson when paired with the Map Types and Components powerpoint http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Map-Types-and-Components-1512150 . This word document includes 5 quizzes and 1 test. Each of the 5 quizzes (half-sheet) break the capitals down into groups of 10, and then the test includes all 50 capitals. Both the test and the quizzes have word banks included. In my classroom, I give my class a list of 10 state capitals on a Monday and then they take the quiz on Friday. We do this for 5 consecutive weeks and then the 6th week they take the test on all 50.
