This file contains many different resources. Listed below are all of the lessons that I use in this particular unit. For each lesson, there are guided notes as well as a homework assignment. There is also a quiz and a unit test included as well as a study guide for both. All of the work is done for you!! This file contains two different resources. The first are the guided notes that I use to introduce different types of sampling and bias vs unbiased sampling methods. The types of sampling that are covered are: simple random sampling, cluster sampling, systematic sampling, voluntary sampling, and stratified sampling. The second resource is a crossword puzzle that allows the students to practice these vocabulary words. Please let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy!
This file contains two different resources. The first is the guided notes that I use with my Algebra 2 students to introduce margin of error given sample size and then the reverse - finding sample size given the margin of error. These notes also allow them to interpret what the margin of error means in context of the situation. The second resource is a simple homework or classwork assignment so that I can measure their comprehension of these skills. Please let me know if you have any questions.
This file contains 17 different products! All are available individually in my store but receive them at a huge discount in the bundle. There is a quiz and test included (two versions of each). There are also notes and homework assignments for creating box and whisker plots, histograms, MAD, probability, correlation vs causation, line of best fit and mean, median, and mode.
A scavenger hunt has also been included which reviews all topics of Unit 6.
Enjoy!
This is a review that I use at the end of the Stat unit. Questions are multiple choice and require some higher level thinking with comparing and contrast. Topics include: mean, median, mode, mean absolute deviation, box and whisker plots, line of best fit, and correlation coefficients. There is an answer sheet provided where students can write their answers as well as an answer key. This is a word document so feel free to edit as needed.
This file contains two different resources. The first is the guided notes that I use to show the students how to calculate 90, 95, 98, and 99% confidence levels. There are breakdowns of the formulas and examples as well. The second resource is a simple practice or homework assignment that I use upon completion of this lesson to check for understanding. This entire unit, including test and study guide, are also available for purchase in my store. Please let me know if you have any questions. Enjo
This file contains two different resources. The first is the introductory guided notes that show the students how to find a z score and what they actually mean. There are also examples where the z score is given and they are required to find the corresponding score that would result in that particular z score. These notes do not go into percentages of the bell curve. I do have notes and homework available on that topic (comparing z scores) available for purchase in my store. The second resource
This is a short quiz that I use after covering mean, median, mode, box plots, 5 number summaries, outliers and mean absolute deviation. There are two different versions available that are both word documents. Feel free to edit as needed.
This file contains guided notes that I use to introduce the margin of error to my Algebra II students but it can be used at varying levels. There are examples where the students must calculate the margin of error and also examples where they must calculate the population given the MOE.
Enjoy!
This is a simple practice worksheet where students practice creating scatter plots and calculating the correlation coefficient. After they have done both, they are asked to describe the correlation coefficient.
Enjoy!
This file contains two different resources. The first is the guided notes that I use to introduce block and matched pairs design for experiments. There is an example of each provided and then a sample space to complete one of each kind with your students. I have also included an assignment that can be given at the conclusion of the lesson as either an additional practice assignment or a homework assignment. Please let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy!
This file contains a crossword puzzle that I use to help reinforce vocabulary from the statistics unit. This puzzle focuses on the different types of sampling that we study. Enjoy!
