The file contains two different resources. There are guided notes that show how to find the discriminant and what the answer tells you about the type of solutions. There is also then practice on solving using the quadratic formula. Complex numbers are in some of the solutions. There is also a homework assignment (with answers) included to follow up with this lesson as well. This is a study guide that I use to prepare my students for the unit test over quadratics. Graphing and solving is included. There are three different versions with varying amounts of tips and clues offered to help different levels of students. This is a great lesson that I use after solving by factoring, completing the square and the quadratic formula. Administrators love to see this lesson because it is a great way to differentiate. This is a simple practice sheet that I generally use for homework or classwork practice. Students are required to reflect points and pictures across the axes and also the y=x and y=-x lines. There are also practice problems where a reflection has been given (including across horizontal vertical lines) and they must identify the reflection. An answer key has been provided for you. This file contains the first unit test that I give for my Algebra II students but could easily be used for other levels. Concepts covered include: simplifying radicals, operations with complex numbers, solving quadratics by completing the square, solving quadratics using the quadratic formula, and solving quadratics by taking square roots. This resource is a study guide that I use with my students before testing over the angles and parallelograms unit. Students are required to use the properties of parallelograms in order to solve for missing values - including sides and angles. They also have to be able to identify the different angles that are created by two parallel lines being cut by a transversal as well as finding all angle measurements.
