This FREE resource can be used to help students practice simplifying and performing operations with radicals. I used this in my classroom as an exit ticket for students. I put them in groups of 4 and each member is responsible for solving one problem. They have to get the problem checked by me to make sure their answers are correct. If they have one incorrect, the person who completed that problem has to find and fix their mistake. Check out my other resources!

This activity will allow students to practice graphing in Desmos, as well as solving quadratic equations by graphing. They will graph each problem and then match the solution to the quadratic to reveal the answer to the riddle.

This resource can be used as an in-class extension activity or an out-of-class mini-project for students. I assigned to my honors 6th grade students as an extra credit resource after we wrapped up our geometry unit. This could also work in a 7th or 8th grade classroom as well! In this project, students choose two equations at random in order to find characteristics of the graph. They will use these characteristics to graph the equation on the coordinate plane included. There are instruction, example equations, as well as rubrics included for the project. This project is for students at the end of the Algebra 1 or math 8 data unit. Students are given step-by-step instructions to follow to complete the project. Students will create a teaching resource and a 5-10 minute presentation to teach their classmates about a specific topic. I let my students sign up on a Google Sheet for their desired topic. Seeing the amount of vocabulary in this chapter about circles made both my students and me very overwhelmed! I figured I would create this vocabulary sheet with the introductory circle terms to help students master the vocabulary they'll need for the rest of the chapter.
