Struggling students seem to have less working memory than those who excel at math. These students have difficulty remembering the steps of an algorithm and math facts simultaneously, especially in long division.  All students can master division if their practice is designed to lessen the load on working memory. This straightforward project can be used anytime students have to memorize facts. Simply combine the project with quizzes on the facts students are learning. I have not included quizzes because this project could cover any facts from basic addition facts, multiplication tables, perfect squares, theorems, formulas, definitions, etc.
