Because of Winn-Dixie Reading Response Journal
Personally, I love all books that have a dog in them as one of the main characters. However, there is something about Winn-Dixie that pulls at my heartstrings a little tighter than Old Yeller ever did. My fourth-graders LOVE this book. There are so many thought provoking questions that arise from this book and I wanted to create questions in the form of a journal. This way the students can answer basic comprehension questions and also express their deeper thoughts as the novel progresses. I ha

Experience

Teaching style
My style of teaching changes every year depending on what type of students I have in my classroom. I do not think that students should "sit and get" information all day long. I try to make my lessons exciting and relevant. I read aloud to my students EVERY SINGLE DAY! And yes, I do all of the voices. My goal is to make each lesson memorable to say that they truly learned in my classroom!

I teach at the same school I attended from Kindergarten to my senior year. Teaching at my alma mater is so much fun. I love to read, binge on Netflix, and EAT!
