This is a fun activity to use with students of all ages. I've used this in a variety of different ways such as a get to know you activity, lab safety stories, concept reviews, etc. The possibilities are endless and students love the opportunity to be creative. Students draw images in phone region to tell a progressive story. The rectangles at the bottom can be used as captions for those images.
Test for physical science students that covers the following concepts:

-displacement
-speed
-velocity
-acceleration
-scalar vs. vector quantities
-distance vs. time graphs
-speed vs. time graphs
I use this resource with my freshmen physical science students. In the activity, they are focused on their experimental design process. They determined the necessary variables and constants as well as what measurements need to be collected. This assignment is an analysis and reflection of their data and that process.
I use this resource with my freshmen physical science students. It provides a bit of structure as they engage in an inquiry style lab. This document is intended to help students practice their experimental design skills. They are responsible for determining which factors need to be measured during their experiment depending on what variables they intend to modify. My school has 40 minute class periods so we have to create our planes on one day and fly them on a second day which is why it is bro
I use this assignment with my freshmen physical science students to give them an opportunity to practice their experimental design skills related to our motion content. The intent of this activity is to get them thinking about the variables and constants they need to include and also contemplate what data they need to collect during their experiment. Data collection and post lab documents are also available for this activity.
Multiple choice and short answer quiz that covers net force calculations, designing free body/force diagrams, and identifying types of friction. Key included.
This assignment is for middle or high school students. Students must research technologies that help reduce carbon emissions and generate clean, renewable energy. They must choose which technology they believe is most efficient at accomplishing these goals and write an argumentative essay based on their research.
The instructions include specific questions students must answer in each section of their essay.
This product is a bundle of 4 items. It includes detailed instructions for students to follow in order to successfully write an argumentative essay about a technology of their choosing to either sequester carbon emissions or generate clean energy. The instructions include detailed questions for each paragraph in a 5 paragraph essay style as well as instructions for formatting and works cited. This activity demonstrates phase change and heat transfer. Students of all ages genuinely enjoy completing this activity. Students learn how adding salt to ice can affect its freezing point. Included is the pre-lab which includes the materials and instructions for making the ice cream as well as post-lab questions.
Looking for an easy and super fun way to differentiate in the science classroom??? This project allows students to creatively show their knowledge related to the periodic table of the elements. After researching an element thoroughly, students will personify their element as a character with super powers. Their character can be a superhero or a supervillain. The instructions here list a variety of options you can give students for their product creation. There is a slide that requires you to fil
This project allows students to select from a variety of options to complete three small tasks pertaining to technological advancements in transportation. Some tasks are quite simple while others are more demanding. Students must select three tasks in a row as they would in a game of tic tac toe. This ensures that the students will complete at least one challenging task. If there is a task that you do not think will work for your students, some additional options may include: -writing/recording
