This is a slide show with 10 slides to teach students how to factor out the GCF (Greatest common factor). There is a warmup that accesses prior knowledge. Example problems that are worked out, and problems for students to try on their own. The answer for each example problem is in the speakers notes.

This is a guided note and introduction activity to the distance formula. The activity starts with a basic understanding of distance with horizontal and vertical lines on a coordinate plane. It then asks students to discover how to find the distance of diagonal lines using the Pythagorean Theorem.
