This is a guided note and introduction activity to the distance formula. The activity starts with a basic understanding of distance with horizontal and vertical lines on a coordinate plane. It then asks students to discover how to find the distance of diagonal lines using the Pythagorean Theorem.

This is a guided note activity that supports students in introducing exponents and exponential functions.
