This is a pack of brightly colored chevron subject labels! It is a word document, so it can be edited very easily. I use these on my daily objectives wall so that I can write objectives for each subject. I also have the times on the bottom to easily accommodate a sub if needed. The reason that I have two math and writing is because we have a different schedule one day of the week!
This is an activity that I did to finish up my NBT unit. I had kids use one piece of graph paper and create an animal or creature out of base 10 blocks (graph paper cut into 100's, 10's and 1's.
When they were finished, I had them glue it down and complete the worksheet based on the number that their creature represents!
This was a great way to close out the NBT unit, and the kids had a blast creating their creatures!
This product is great for morning work, centers or introducing a new month in the classroom!

The watermelon represents the 'seed' of the story (usually the main idea) that I encourage my students to focus on. We slow down that moment and make sure to describe it in great detail for the reader!
This anchor chart and worksheet goes with RL1. I used this activity to get my kids to stop asking the silly questions that did not matter to the story. The anchor chart was used to make sure that they understood the difference between the two different types of questions. We then used the worksheet with a fiction story to come up with different big dig and small dig questions that pertain to the book!
This is a card I have used in my classroom to hold my kids accountable for the daily 5 activities they complete each day. I laminated 1 card for each student and they turn it in everyday to prove that they have completed the activity.
Hope you like it!
This is a two handout deal. I used this while teaching 1.OA.A.1. It is great because the students have to 'prove it'. In this section we drew a 'part-part-whole' mat so that students could illustrate their thinking.

I used this packet during the Lucy Calkins Writing about Science Unit, but it could be used with any science project or experiment to add some writing in!
This is a matching concentration game that practices Expanded Form. Students will match the three different categories: Expanded Form, Written Form and the amount of hundreds, tens and ones in a number.
I ran each page on a different color and had students place cards facedown so they could match one of each color.
This goes with RL.2.7. I used this as a follow up to reading a story. The students were told to think of the most vivid image from the story. This moment that they remember is usually the main idea of the story. I had them illustrate this moment and write about it!
