This is an activity that I did to finish up my NBT unit. I had kids use one piece of graph paper and create an animal or creature out of base 10 blocks (graph paper cut into 100's, 10's and 1's.
When they were finished, I had them glue it down and complete the worksheet based on the number that their creature represents!
This was a great way to close out the NBT unit, and the kids had a blast creating their creatures!
This is a two handout deal. I used this while teaching 1.OA.A.1. It is great because the students have to 'prove it'. In this section we drew a 'part-part-whole' mat so that students could illustrate their thinking.

This is a matching concentration game that practices Expanded Form. Students will match the three different categories: Expanded Form, Written Form and the amount of hundreds, tens and ones in a number.
I ran each page on a different color and had students place cards facedown so they could match one of each color.
