Students practice decomposing numbers 3, 4, 5, &6 in this Halloween themed MIMIO activity. Students place counters in a grid and match to an equation, giving them a visual representation of the ways to make a number. There are 2 "levels" to participate at making this a lasting activity. Decomposing numbers is a Common Core requirement for multiple grade levels.

After reading a word problem, students decompose 7, 8, and 9 and then write a matching number sentence. Great for a Math Center Activity!! Very Engaging way to teach a common core concept.
