This is a poster that I have hanging in my classroom that outlines what my goals are for my students in each of the ELA domains: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension. I took the small poster to my local teacher center and made it poster sized and then laminated.

This Smartboard activity introduces/reviews ABC order and parts of a sentence. This activity is a great way to introduce ABC order to your ESL or first grade students. In NYS, teachers are expected to keep track of how much instructional time that their students miss. I found this to be extremely difficult so I created a form that is completely editable. This form leaves space for the students name, date, reason missing class, and total minutes lost. I will also be offering this in an excel document so that minutes will be totaled for you.
