Students will create a paper model of Earth's atmospheric layers that pops out of their science notebooks. Directions for assembly are on the handouts and a powerpoint with pictures showing each step is included as well. The student version is a blackline color, cut, and paste. Layer names and characteristic features can be added by writing them in or by gluing on the included labels. This is an editable lapbook listing the steps of the scientific method. An answer sheet with notes is included. Students cut out and color the cover, then take notes in the spaces provided. The book and notes can be edited for different versions of the scientific method and notes. It is designed to copy front to back if desired. The front page of the foldable includes Observation/Purpose, Research, Hypothesis, Experiment, Analysis, and Conclusion.

Students draw particles in solutions and suspensions and make comparisons. Then they draw and describe how solubility changes with temperature, surface area, and stirring.
