Valentine's Day Opinion Writing
Students will write a three paragraph opinion writing piece. This is based on the Common Core Standards. Students will be writing their opinion on why a specific person in their life is special.
This lesson contains all of the necessary paperwork to walk students through the writing process. There is also a teacher's guide and a grading rubric.

Teaching style
I believe in collaborative education. In my classroom, we do a lot of group work, focusing on taking an idea and building upon it. I think this a great way to teach children to think critically. Currently, my focus in the classroom is fourth grade language arts. My goal is to make my children thoughtful lovers of reading.
