In this activity, students practice choosing the most efficient method to solve quadratic equations. Given a variety of quadratic problems, students determine whether factoring, undoing (using inverse operations), completing the square, or the quadratic formula is the best approach and explain their reasoning. Students may work individually or in pairs to discuss strategy choices, compare methods, and build flexibility and confidence in solving quadratics.
