Would You Rather? is a fun, low-pressure discussion activity that gets students thinking, moving, and talking. Students are presented with two engaging choices and must decide which one they prefer—then explain their reasoning. Responses can be shared by moving to different areas of the room, voting with hands or gestures, or turning and talking with a partner. This activity works well as an icebreaker, brain break, or warm-up and encourages participation, communication, and respectful listening

Classroom Community, For All Subjects, Not Subject Specific
In this activity, students practice choosing the most efficient method to solve quadratic equations. Given a variety of quadratic problems, students determine whether factoring, undoing (using inverse operations), completing the square, or the quadratic formula is the best approach and explain their reasoning. Students may work individually or in pairs to discuss strategy choices, compare methods, and build flexibility and confidence in solving quadratics.
