Students will use this MSWord template to create a glossary of basic computer terms. This document has a chart with 32 terms that I have found students struggle to remember. The terms cover the tools of MSWord and navigating the desktop and internet. This is one of my favorite "back-to-school" activities to use in Language Arts classes. The students must think of a book they read over the summer that was meaningful to them. The project requires a short report of the book with evidence as to why it was important to them. It is a great guessing/get-to-know you game because each student must include a photo of themselves with the book covering his or her face.
