Taught Science from 4th - 12th grade Science for 7 years and Social Studies now for 3 years. I taught Kindergarten and 1st-6th grade in China as well for a year.

It is my belief that the best way to learn is hands on and allow for mistakes. As Miss Frizzle says, "Take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!" When a lesson provides memories, students are more likely to remember. My job as a teacher is to ensure safety as they learn or to facilitate. I am working to create lessons built on using homesteading as a way for students of all ages to learn academics. My high school students uploaded a Youtube video names "Best Science Class EVER!" where we were using gases to launch rockets. Aldine ISD November 2022 Nearpod Award I have been known to be very creative!
