Artfully Teaching

This is a countdown to winter break. Each day, students receive a small gift (usually a little snack). They write what they are given, illustrate, and create an equation. In the open space above the writing lines, students can draw their gift. I have students create an equation with their “gift”. Example: if they receive 4 red, 3 yellow, and 4 green goldfish they would write the equation 4+3+4=12. Included are 2 book page examples- blank lines if you want your students to write the sentences, o
