This folder contains a template to aid teachers in chunking texts by copying and parting/typing manageable pieces into the "text" column. The student then learns to annotate by using paraphrase, inference, and connection/prediction columns. This will help students make meaning and dig deeper as they read. An example is provided. Further, there is an instructional video to walk teachers and students through the process of using the template. The video features modeling and think-aloud.
