Students will be asked to analyze a proper fraction and model it using a ten by ten grid. Then based off the ten by ten grid create a fraction with 100 in the denominator, then create the decimal and percent equivalent. This will help students see the equivalent forms of fractions, decimals, and percents.

Students will sort 12 different representations; equations, graphs, tables, and verbal word problems to determine if they are additive or multiplicative. The answers are color coded. Anything with a background color in the orange/red family is additive; and anything with a background color in the blue/grey family is multiplicative.

Each slide contains leading questions to assist students in determining when number is the divisor and which is the dividend in order to find the proper answer. In this activity, students will be expected to drag and drop comparison symbols and numbers to create a comparison statement using correct place value. This mirrors an interactive question type students will see during STAAR, and is a quick interactive way to assess students knowledge of place value and comparison symbols.

This assignment allows students to analyze a group of shapes. They are then asked to place a name to each shape and determine how many vertex/vertices the shape has. Lastly, students will determine which shape out of the group is the odd one out. There is no wrong answer here necessarily. This allows students to make observations about the shapes; whether it be about the dimensions, number of sides, irregularity, etc. As long as we are talking about attributes.
