This is an activity that gives students the opportunity to use a newspaper to locate real-world decimals. It give students practice in rounding decimals to tenths, hundredths, thousandths, and ten thousandths. It also involves practice in lining up decimal points to add numbers with decimals together. Since this activity involves cutting and pasting, fine motor skills are also touched upon. This activity can be used in a special needs classroom or at the elementary level. There are suggestions

This is a quiz to assess the student's knowledge of integers! This is a 12 question quiz where the students will write whether an answer will be positive, negative, or zero. They will need to solve the problems to come to the correct answer. There are also 2 problems in which they will show their work and solve! This is a nice quick assessment to see where the students are in the area of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. It can be given at the beginning of a unit, middle, or end. A
