This powerpoint covers a variety of calendar skills. Topics covered are as follows: months of the year, difference between day and date, counting days, counting weeks, how many weeks in a year/month, and days in a month/week. There are also word problems to solve throughout using a calendar. This power point is interactive in that students will play a roll in solving problems on the projected calendars.

This activity allows students to observe and collect data using mini pumpkins and mini gourds. It is a perfect math and science unit for the fall. Each student will have a recording sheet for all of their findings. The recording sheet also takes the student through the scientific method and provides space for them to list materials and the steps they will take to experiment.
