Experience

Hi! I'm Ali, an educator with 15 years of experience. I create elementary literacy lessons, academic language supports, and classroom community resources that are classroom‑tested and ready to use. I currently work as an ELD (English Language Development) teacher and instructional coach, supporting teachers and multilingual learners with strong academic language and meaningful learning experiences.

Teaching style

I believe students learn best when lessons are: ✔ Authentic and meaningful ✔ Discussion-rich ✔ Language-supported ✔ Rigorous but accessible ✔ Designed for real classrooms Many of my resources include sentence stems, discussion prompts, graphic organizers, and scaffolded writing supports to help all students participate in academic conversations.

My own education history

I received my Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with an endorsement in reading from the University of Portland. I continued my Master's study at the University of Portland, where I obtained my M.Ed. with an endorsement in ESOL.
