About the store

Experience

The 2018-2019 school year marks my 5th year of teaching third grade. I've also taught first and second. I've taught in urban and suburban schools.

Teaching style

Student-centered, flexible seating, Responsive Classroom, inquiry-based, balanced literacy, workshop model, academic choice, positive classroom community.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I've been nominated for several S.T.A.R. awards (teacher recognition awards) by many families in my school district.

My own education history

I graduated summa cum laude from Rider University with my B.A. in elementary education and fine arts theater. Eventually, I'll snag my Masters. Fun fact about me: I started attending college while I was still in high school!

Additional biographical information

I love my family (which is composed of my husband, 2 dogs, guinea pigs, fish, leopard gecko... the list goes on). When I'm not teaching or working on something school-related, you might find me exercising, exploring my local county park with my two dogs, or reading.
