Experience

I am a first-year teacher with three years of experience as a special education aide. During this time, I primarily supported kindergarten students with autism, gaining valuable experience in individualized instruction and classroom management. My student teaching experience was focused on third-grade classrooms, where I developed my skills in differentiated instruction and student engagement. Teaching style

I strive to create a classroom environment that is both relaxed and engaging, where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring new ideas. While I maintain clear expectations and a structured routine, I prioritize building positive, trusting relationships with my students to foster a sense of community and mutual respect. My teaching style encourages active participation, open discussion, and creative thinking, while also allowing for flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of my students. I believe in making learning enjoyable and relatable by connecting course material to students' interests and real-world experiences, which helps to keep them motivated and excited to learn.

My own education history

I earned an Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) from Missouri State University - West Plains, which provided a strong foundation in educational theory and practice. Building on this, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Missouri State University - Springfield, where I deepened my knowledge of pedagogy, child development, and classroom management. These programs equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to create effective, inclusive learning environments and to support students' academic and personal growth.
