Experience

Middle school mathematics teacher with a strong focus on building relationships, using data to guide instruction, and continuously improving my practice. I currently teach 8th-grade mathematics, where I design lessons aligned to Tennessee state standards and work to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for all students. Teaching style

My teaching is centered around one belief: students learn best when they feel known, supported, and challenged. I focus on: - Building strong relationships with students - Creating a structured but engaging classroom environment - Using data to adjust instruction and meet student needs - Encouraging student participation and ownership of learning I aim to make math both meaningful and accessible by combining clear instruction, real-world connections, and opportunities for collaboration.

My own education history

I am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction (Ed.D.) at Liberty University, where I focus on curriculum design, instructional leadership, and data-driven decision-making. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Lee University, where I studied topics such as school law, finance, and curriculum development.

Additional biographical information

Before entering education, I gained experience in event coordination and large-scale project management, working with teams and organizing events for hundreds of participants. This background has helped shape my ability to manage classrooms, build systems, and create engaging experiences for students. I am passionate about growing as an educator and leader, with the long-term goal of impacting both students and teachers on a larger scale.
