Baseline Learning

Each square is 1 centimetre just like the purchased plastic Base Ten Block Sets. The Magentic Base Ten blocks are made out of laminated printed labels stuck to magnet. This is purchased by the foot from a sign shop or in packages from Avery. Instructions included. Colour can be easily changed using Word options.

The full set of 45 different contractions (90) includes the smaller primary set). Cards are 1.75" x 2.5" and will fit perfectly into a clear hockey card box. Cut with a rotary cutter and a self-healing board for professional looking cards. Use as flash cards, in a Word Work during Daily Five or as a matching game.

144 Homophones mini-cards. The stack of laminated cards will fit inside of a hockey card box for easy storage. Each card is half the size of a hockey card. Use as a matching game or a fish game. Reduce the number of cards for primary students. Use at a Literacy Centre or at Daily 5 Word Work. 'Triples' ate included for higher level students. Laminate and cut on the lines.

A web brainstorm where ideas can be organised prior to writing a paragraph. When children have difficulties writing, this is the step often forgotten. Fill in the spaces and facts to support, then write from the middle out. One sentence for each fact. Three sentences in a paragraph. Easily taught that can work with a student until they graduate! Just keep dividing the subtopics by 3 more!
