Linear Equations Project

Students can practice their knowledge of linear equations and apply it to the real world by creating equations to represent how long it would take them to be able to afford certain items based on the job which they work. Students learn life lessons (like going to college will set you back 50,000) as well as that jobs where one attend college end up paying more in the long run. Students use their knowledge to project income. Can be scaffolded up or down based on student need.

About the store

Experience

I have been in classrooms for the past 10 years. Of that time I have been a teacher's assistant, teacher and math department chair for my school. My focus has been working with students who struggle with mathematics because of academic gaps or lack of continual practice.

Teaching style

I believe in a straightforward approach to teaching and want to provide inexpensive guided notes that cater to 30-40 minute lessons. My target customer is a teacher who knows what they're looking for, know that they would make what I have but just don't have the time. I wish I could've found work like this on this page but it was missing.

My own education history

I went to San Diego State University and attained my Bachelors in mathematics then went on to get my Masters in Education and Credential from National University. I have Credentials in both California and Illinois.

Additional biographical information

I am a stay at home mom for the first year ever so I'm trying to keep myself busy by updating and providing some of my notes through Teachers Pay Teachers
