Students can decorate the body outline to show their external/physical traits. They then cut and paste internal character trait words in the inside of their body. The final step is for students to choose an internal character trait and fill in the sentence "I am (insert character trait) when (insert action)."

This a great tool to use with students when teaching author's purpose. After modeling how to use evidence to support how they knew the author's purpose, students can use this chart during independent reading time to support their own answers with evidence from the text.
