Welcome to Beach Teach Shop! I'm an educator with over 20 years experience in grades Kindergarten through high school. My current home is in middle school math, where most of my products are focused. I have dual certification in both general education and special education, so most of my products are geared toward providing a solid understanding of a concept before moving on to independent practice. I believe the best way to learn a concepts is to model, analyze and then use in a real-world context.

Integer Operations Digital Task Cards
This activity is a great way for students to track their own learning and reflect on what they need to continue to work on. Students work on each digital task card, and once they have submitted their responses, they are provided with answers to self-check. This allows for students to go back through their work and identify errors and correct mistakes.

Teaching style
Most of my products are guided notes, which are the starting point for every skill I teach. Accessing prior knowledge, building a base of understanding through modeling, and then a gradual release to independent work has helped me see the most success in my classroom.
