About the store

Experience

Classroom teacher for 28 years, 17 years in sixth grade, 2 years teaching English to 5-6 year-olds in China, 6 years as a Response to Intervention Specialist for grades 7-8, 1 year in first grade, and 2 years in second grade.

Teaching style

My teaching style comes from my learning style - straight forward, get to the point, give me examples and time to practice. When I created things for my classroom, that is the approach I took, as well. I don't have a bunch of "frills" on my work, because I find it distracting. Don't get me wrong, there is a time and a place for lots of colors and designs and I have a feeling I will begin to add more. I hope you find my resources useful.

My own education history

BA Ed from Eastern Washington University, Major: Reading, Minor: Mathematics, plus NUMEROUS continuing education classes and training.
