These are the Whole Brain Teaching rules I use in my classroom. They are the original rules with one change: I have changed Rule #3 "Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat" to "Treat others the way you want to be treated." I made this change in my classroom because we are often moving around the room.
When we are journaling in our Math and Science notebooks, it's often a difficult task for students to put their thoughts into words to record observations or explain their thinking. Before we journal, we follow these three steps: think, talk and write.
