This is a student led tutorial where they explore the structure and function of CRISPR. This is a stand alone lesson or can be used as an intro to my 'Out of the Blue' CRISPR gene editing activity. The lesson includes a lesson plan; google slides (with Nearpod slides); A link to an HHMI CRISPR simulation activity; and a student worksheet doc that corresponds with the simulation.

This is a stand alone lesson that uses color printed handouts (from Bio Rad) to work through a collaborative simulation. Students use an instructional guide to simulate the process of gene editing. The guide contains both information about the process and questions to drive inquiry. This is an excellent addition to my 'Out of the Blue' CRISPR editing lab.
