These visuals can be used as part of a larger program to help a picky eater learn to accept non-preferred food items. Visuals comprise 4 pages, 3 phases each page. I would combine these visuals with differential reinforcement for tolerating the different conditions described by each phase, embedded within a larger framework of in-vivo desensiziation. For an example of a study that involves differential reinforcement of food acceptance without desensitization see here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih
A lot of the token boards I've come across tend to be rather plain with some kind of character like Batman added for flair. They are also potentially subject to a pattern of behavior we call "post-reinforcement pausing": After the learner earns her reward, she will stop for a while before resuming work. This is because the learner can anticipate when they will receive the reward. This token board might be useful for that type of learner, I've tried to make it so that it mimics a variable rat
I created a token economy using icons and images from the movie Wall-E. If your learner likes this movie, this might be a good learning tool for him. There are 10 trash tokens and 5 special tokens. I would suggest printing these out and laminating for extra durability, and applying velcro for organizing and keeping track of your learner's earned tokens. When the learner's performance meets expectations allow them to flip one over, pull from a book, or choose one hidden in your hand. The tra
This is a simple tool designed to assess learner readiness. Ideal for fans of Wall-E. Sometimes a learner may not be ready for various reasons, and they may not wish to say why, maybe they have a headache, or maybe they just got up on the wrong side of the bed. Best used as an antecedent to any tasks they may find not to their liking. Ideal when combined with positive reinforcement (my Wall-E token board should compliment this well).
I made this visual to help a learner who with limited language but strong visual skills to make a connection between urinating in the toilet and some kind of rewarding outcome. We are going to try to see if pointing at the visuals can help him to understand our expectations. Looking for any suggestions how to make visuals like this more effective!
I've created a series of worksheets to help learners to properly space out either their words or letters using some visual prompts combined with fading. The "baseline" worksheet makes use of the typical visual guidelines for early learners, and may be the place you want to start with some writing sample (copying a text, spelling words, other classwork, etc.) to get a feel of how a learner does without the additional "prompting". Following that, I would advise trying to progress quickly through
