I use this as guided notes while students watch a YouTube video introducing and explaining the concept of taxes in the United States. The video is linked on the document and is focused on teaching young adults about taxes.

This is a simple inquiry for students to recall and/or discover the definition of vertical, complementary, and supplementary angles. Vocabulary words are listed at the top of the worksheet. I use this in my eighth grade math class once we start exploring real-world situations with linear equations. Students are familiar with slope-intercept form and just starting to connect it to the real world. I provide two KEY questions to help students create a linear equation from any linear word problem.
