Teaching style

I believe in and I am a strong supporter of efficacy, differentiation with rigor, hands on project-based learning, the arts, and the integration of all subjects in a standards based classroom setting.

Awards & shining teacher moments

My Teacher is Tops Award in 2010. I was the 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year for James H. Porter Elementary.

My own education history

I moved around a lot when I was younger, going to 13 different schools from K-12th grade. I graduated from Wesleyan College in 2006 with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and in 2009 with a M.A. in Early Childhood Education. July 2012, I graduated from Georgia College and State University with a EDS in Curriculum and Instruction in Early Childhood Education. Through all of my experiences, it has made me into a flexible person and able to bloom where ever I am planted!
