About the store
Black Hole Notes was created by a mother-daughter duo with over 30 years of combined experience teaching math and science in elementary, middle, high school and at the university level. Mathematics courses taught include: 3rd-7th grade mathematics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Calculus 1, 2 and 3 (some courses taught at the university level while others were taught at the elementary, middle and high school levels). We also have experience teaching science at the elementary & middle school level as well as high school biology and entry-level engineering courses at the university level.

Fraction Basic Operations INB Booklet for all ages!
This little booklet was designed to be used for interactive notebooks but could be used as a worksheet or just a quick review for older students. We use it as remediation of fraction vocabulary, adding and subtracting fractions, reducing fractions and common denominators. Also includes a little flowchart for reducing fractions. FREE Times Tables Memory Memorization Coloring Tracker ( Multiplication Facts )
This little tracker was made for my elementary students to help motivate them to memorize their multiplcation facts as well as provide a way to track which ones they've recited to me (the instructor). Order of Operations Written Expressions Riddle Cipher Puzzle
Students will solve 26 order of operations problems as written word expressions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and then use the corresponding letters to solve a little math themed riddle using a decoder wheel. The solutions are included! Great for students in upper elementary through middle school (and beyond) because students always seem to need/benefit from some remediation of the order of operations. Teaching style
At Black Hole Notes we truly believe that any student can do math and be inspired to learn more science. We very much enjoy using foldables and hands-on activities in order to engage students and help them to really retain the knowledge.

My own education history
Our mother-daughter duo sport multiple degrees in education as well as engineering (including masters degrees in teaching STEM as well as a masters degree in engineering). We very much believe in lifelong learning both in a classical setting as well as learning from industry experience.
