I designed this tool to help articulation students understand that articulation is not just about accuracy, it's also about the effort and naturalness that go into producing the sound. Students will not generalize the sound if it produces a significant amount of effort. This tool serves to 1) teach students to self-evaluate, and 2) collect data regarding the effort required for students to articulate treatment sounds.

This story map can accompany stories that are used with the Reading Curriculum "UFLI". I had a paraprofessional fill it out with a 1st grade special education student during each phonics story so that he was prepared to answer questions about the story. It could be used with all students to work on this skill, and students could complete it independently, as well.
Designed for speech students to complete on SNOW DAYS! Some states now require students to do activities at home during snow days ("E-Learning Days"). Use this one-size-fits-all LANGUAGE E-Learning board to send home to your students so they can get some practice in while they are at home. Students choose ONE activity from the learning board. Topics include tier 2 vocabulary, curriculum vocabulary, grammar, categorizes, question asking, and rhyming.
A quick "how-to" sheet for families with young children, this will help your speech/language students with language delays engage with language-rich activities at home!
