Experience

I have 10 years teaching middle school level science, including aspects of science and non fiction literacy and curriculum development. I have 1 year teaching ELA at the middle school level.

Teaching style

Work shop model, independent practice, guided modeling, inquiry, curiosity based, PBL, exploratory, discovery! I focus my lesson structures on providing a variety of resources and lessons that overlap, giving students as many chances as possible to find their "in" for the learning and have choice for their learning style and interests.

My own education history

B.A. in Biology with a minor in Anthropology from Central Washington University. Masters in Teaching from City University.
