Student Self Evaluation of learning behavior
Do you use Data Notebooks with student?
Student self evaluation forms used in our Data Notebooks. There is one for Reading, Writing and Mathematical Thinking behaviors. Each one has two options. One has a 1, 2, 3, 4 'grade' with descriptors, there other has a Learning Line; Novice, Apprentice, Practitioner, and Expert descriptor.
There is also a place for students to write a plan for improvement.
I started with the number "grades' but found it a bit confusing with the behaviors being numbere

Teaching style
I believe I have a kid (or student) centered approach. Start with your standard or objective, find out where the student is in relation to meeting the standard, identify their strengths and optimum mode of learning; then go for it! I am learning that listening is the key.

I don't do cute for the sake of cute. But I do put a great deal of thought and care into what I create. Always with 'How is this beneficial to kids?" in mind.
