Use this to award random students throughout the week/school year for their awesome brain-power! I used it my class to boost my students' confidence. The reason behind you giving these awards out could be for something as little as using a key vocabulary word during collaborative discussions in small groups or even if a student remembered to push in his or her chair consistently that day. Want to make word work fun? Who doesn't love a word search?! I made a few word searches using blends, chunks, word wall words and etc. You can customize it to the words your students are working on at the time and just add a slide/modify a slide to make it work for the next week.

Use this as a center activity for Word Work. Customize the chart for each spelling group in your class so that they can practice their blends, chunks and endings. You can adapt it to your own needs and modify the second activity from Rainbow Writing to stamping to Wiki Stik letter formation...etc.

This is a simple, easy to understand behavior contract for students who need that extra visual and motivation to do well in the classroom/school. Place a sticker on each set of footprints until the student reaches his goal and then he/she will be rewarded. Completely editable so make it your own by adding footprints or taking some away to make their goal more attainable. Thanks for your interest!
