In this activity, students design a logo for a new ultimate frisbee team according to the owners specifications which include one or more transformations. In the teacher notes, there is a PowerPoint embedded with well-known logos and whether or not the logos contain different types of transformations. Working together, students, parents,and teachers can all have successful learning experiences. Teaching is a team sport in which all of the players work toward the common goal of enriching students' lives.
My own education history
I received my BA from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX, with a major in chemistry and a minor in math. My student teaching was in the San Antonio public school system. Subsequently, I received my MA from the University of Texas at Austin in the same areas.
