About the store
I have enjoyed teaching Theatre Arts for the past 11 years. Although I taught 9th & 10th grade for a year, my primary focus has been 6th through 8th grade: Speech, Theatre Arts 1, Theatre Arts II, Adaptive Theatre (for special needs) and Advanced Theatre, a production class requiring an audition. Besides productions, I have been heavily involved with organizing and producing a Theatre Festival!

Awards & shining teacher moments

It is humbling to note that I was nominated for The Best First Year Teacher Award, and that I have been in the final three for Teacher of the Year a few times.

My own education history

I graduated with a Master in Arts in Education with Teacher Certification from Oral Roberts University in May 2004, with the help of Academic Scholarships. May of 1993, with the help of Greer Garson, Presidential and Brother Luke Scholarships, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from The College of Santa Fe, Magna Cum Laude.

Additional biographical information

I have enjoyed aiding in dramatic activities with the youth at church, singing in the choir, working as a Girls Scout Camp Leader, and volunteering for Best Buddies of America and Ahead with Horses. While on tour with Barney, I helped with activities and warm-ups for our fellow, touring kids and even directed comical skits and choreographed small dances for special occasions. For church, I’ve loved creating and teaching “Worship Workout for Woman,” an aerobics class choreographed to the music, designed to be worshipful
